A previous poster requested some pics of the original setting, so here you go. The good thing is there was so much gold in it that we saved some $$ by reusing it for the new setting!

You can just barely see the turquoise on the underside of this one.

Oh, and DBF just found out the stone is 1.3 cts, woo woo!!

Love the CAD pics, it is going to be a beautiful ring. I love that it is sort of an updated take on the marquise shape, yet still has the look of a wonderful antique piece. Also, I love euro shanks, I wish my rings were euros, I love the look and how it helps keep rings from spinning so much. Congrats!

Yes, I love antique looking settings but you don''t see them much with a marquise! That''s the reason we went custom, we had a hard time finding something that combined everything I wanted.

Also, last night I was kind of whining to DBF that I am so ready for it to be DONE, and he looked at me and said "1-4 weeks." I said, ok, now don''t tell me anything else, even if I ask!!! A few minutes later I said, "wait, is that the jeweler''s timeline for you, or your timeline for me?" And he said, "you told me not to tell you, so I''m not!!!!" The waiting is killing me

I love e-w marquise! My e-ring side sidestone are e-w marquise, so I have a soft spot for them.
