Hi all - being new to the custom ring designing process, I would love your feedback on the CAD I received from my jeweler. I wanted a white gold halo and prongs with the rose gold band.
I want to make sure the ring will have a thin delicate tucked halo that doesn’t take away from the diamond itself and I’m not sure if the final product will show a thin halo but I know CADs tend to be chunkier. Additionally, are there any changes you all would make? Thank you!!

If you are having diamond pave on the band, I would not bother to have it in rose gold. I would keep it in platinum. Two reasons: first, you will barely be able to see the rose gold at all (my SIL has a rose gold pave band and I can’t see the color of the metal when it’s on her finger) and second, rose gold is more brittle and not as good of a metal for pave. I personally would stick with an all-platinum (or white gold in this case, though platinum is better for pave) ring and then get a rose gold wedding band.

Not all jewelers can do this but if your jeweler can tilt the halo just a bit away from the center stone instead of having it flat, that gives a more refined look. There are examples if you search. Otherwise - is the shape and everything the way you want it? Looks good to me but you’re the one wearing it.
