Hi There

Novice jewelry collector. Making custom ERing. Got CAD video. Just nervous
What do you think of this? Are top halo and side halo too uniform? Should they be staggered? I want fluid seamless craftsmanship

First off, the inspiration pic is gorgeous!

I see what you mean, but honestly I kind of like the side and tops lining up myself. However, I do wonder if you put the sides on a slight offset (sort of like how brick is set) then would it allow light to reflect and hit so the sparkle is more evenly distributed should you be at angle you can see both the top & sides?

Maybe this makes sense below. First example shows a perfect line up like you have. Sparkle is represented by blue X's. By having perfectly stacked, all sparkle is perfectly aligned thereby creating gaps (red O's) that are void of sparkle.

This example, using a brick (or running bond) layout offsets the stones and allows sparkle to be more evenly distributed as evidenced by blue X's again.

You have the same thoughts as me. The brick-laying method is preferred. I asked my jeweler and he said that is what they aim for :)
