David just reset two .50 OECs that I had originally used as side stones for a Montana sapphire but they were too large for it. I found a photo of an antique bypass ring and used it for the inspiration. I've attached DKs photos as I am waiting for the ring. I love the way it turned out. The sapphire is also being reset with smaller side stones.
Also, please when you get it-- hand shots. When I get my next .56 CBI, I'm going to wear it as a two stone while I save for the middle stone. Since yours are close in size, it will give me a good idea of it...
That is just gorgeous! I'll be watching this thread closely as I was planning to have someone set my two pears (.50 ct each) into a toi et moi ring. I can't wait to see this on your finger!
Thank you all for your sweet comments. I'm hoping it looks nice on my finger. @mrs-b
Great idea for a thread if there isn't one. I have a lot of pieces but most are fairly modest. Would love to see the collections of some PSers as I know they would definitely be awesome. .
Gorgeous, he does such great work! I also have a bypass ring from eBay with an old setting that isn’t great, I am olanning in having him do a reset for me!
My ring arrived and it is really nice and exactly what I asked for. I will definitely get more wear from the stones in this setting than the previous one which was my goal. I wish the hands were as pretty as the ring, but regardless, here are the hand shots. Extremely cold here in Boston so please forgive the redness and the crummy phone photos.
