Buying Moissanite from Tianyu Gems

I spoke to Ella at Tianyu Gems and they are now doing lab diamond pave. Was hoping to get some sort of price list but I am not sure if they will offer it for comparison.

After doing this to my Tianyu ring:

I had it reset by a jeweler rather than getting it remade from Tianyu again. Their platinum is softer and I ended up warping the ring. This is made with PT950/RU in Tiffany style. I had tab prongs, which I prefer, but it was remade with claw prongs. Looks nice with my diamond eternity but I am not sure if I am keeping it. Have so many gemstone projects in the works that I might throw it up on DB and LT. For reference 10 mm in G/H color H&A cut.

I am going to list. My only problem is that because it is a knife edge, they didn’t put a hallmark on it. I have a receipt but I was going to send it back to get the PT950 but on it. This is probably going to take awhile because they are working on another gemstone ring for me and it will get sent back together. I don’t know if you would be willing to wait or if you will accept it without the stamp? That’s the only reason why I haven’t done it yet.

I just had David make me a new setting for my Tianyu OEC. The setting they made looked and felt very cheap. They made earrings for me that are really nice quality...but the ring setting they made for my OEC was not good at all. David just finished this new setting...I get my ring on Monday!

That’s a beautiful stone and setting. I have an octagon too but it’s not as defined as yours and I literally just this early am sent an email to DK asking if he would fix it. Lol. Great minds and all. Enjoy! It’s a beauty!

@Slick1 Haha! That man has the patience of a saint! I’m starting to have more moissanite than diamond rings! I’m trying to find a 8mm something to put in my previous engagement ring setting and I’m not having luck. I need an 8mm...I purchased a supposedly medium blue Tianyu moissanite. It’s so light I can barely tell it’s blue until I turn it on it’s side. I already have it all packaged up to go to David..but he just put nice diamond baguettes in to replace the ones he took out to use in my reset. This would tip the balance of moissanite over diamond rings. I would love to put a gemstone in there but I can’t find anything. David said he could pop the Tianyu blue stone in and when I find something else he can just take that out and reset it.I wish I knew how to sell on Loupe Troop...I would thin my herd.

@Mamabean He really is amazing, and you definitely are enjoying lots of beautiful baubles lately! Selling on DB and LT is a breeze. Message me on IG and I could help if you wish. I’ve sold quite a few myself, with no problem especially if you only sell to people you ‘know.’
I also love a tapered baguette solitaire. It’s one of my fave settings, why not just sell it since you already have one? (read:me ) Than you can branch out to different pieces?

@Slick1 I will take you up on the offer to help me with DB and LT...
I won’t sell that setting because it cost me 5k and I just put new baguettes in there which were pricey. I had that setting made from a fancy jeweler who is not as good as David and more pricey.. I can’t justify selling it because I wouldn’t get anything near what it paid..I don’t expect that with anything else but that would make me sick...
I just reached out to a gem cutter to see if they have anything.
I’ve branched out like an octopus!

Hi! I recently purchased an 8mm round light blue moissanite. I originally wanted to set it in a ring setting I had but decided not to do that. It’s so light I can barely see it’s blue except when I turn it on it’s side. I decided to have it set in a pendant. Does anyone know the depth of their 8mm round moissanites? I want it set as low as possible so it won’t flip on my neck. I emailed Ella but thought maybe one of you know..Thank you!
