I'm wanting to have the Tiffany Jazz ring custom made with milgrain. I've gotten quotes from David Klass and Brian Gavin and the price is almost identical.
Eternity in either 18k rose or platinum. VS clarity, F color. Brian Gavin would be H&A rounds. David would be round brilliants. Don't know exact carat specs.
Any recommendations on which to choose?
Any guidance on choosing 18k rose gold or platinum? All my current jewelry is white gold or platinum, but I love the romantic feminine look of rose.
Picture of the Tiffany Jazz attached.
Thanks!!!

Is this going to be worn alone or with other bands or rings? That ring is fairly wide to stack but fine if worn with just an engagement ring. Most here make the thin bands like this and it would have one diamond in the center of the marquise shape part. Just making sure you want the wider band.

It will either be worn all by itself or with just my engagement ring. I want it to be semi substantial so it doesn't look bad when I'm just wearing the band.

Gotcha! In that case, I'd probably go with BG since he'd be using top cut diamonds. It wouldn't matter in a 2mm or thinner band, but I'd want the best diamonds to go in a wider band especially when the prices are about the same.

I'd personally like a thin engraved rose gold band to maybe wear between my e-ring and wedding band, but I think I'd lean toward platinum for this particular piece.

Make sure the height of the band dos not bump into diamond melee on the prongs of your ering if you have any. You may also want to make sure you like the width of the band with the shank of your ering, if that matters to you. That can really affect the whole look of your wedding set.

This is VERY good advice - - a lot of people (men especially  ) when looking at engagement rings don't factor in the future wedding ring and how they will sit together. I would suggest that no matter who you use, you might want to give them your ering so that they have its exact specs for building a new ring that will sit beside it (to avoid potential gaps/size issues/rubbing/poor fit/mismatch of stones/etc between the ering and the wedder).
The last thing you (or your jeweller) want is to make a custom piece, only to have it not sit against your ering like you were expecting, or in a way that may compromise one of the rings, and then have to do a remake because you aren't happy.
Hope this helps

Take the BG quality diamonds.

Brian Gavin, hands down.

Yep. Brian Gavin.
