Big Size or Great sparkle

Hi all,

Thank you very much for your responses previously. I still can't decide. So I am looking for your help again. Would you rather have a stone with a slightly better sparkle or the one with a better size.
Please refer to the Certificate and HCA score.

Everyone I spoke to, they said 8824984 is an amazing stone.

G - VVS2 - 2.23 Carat - 8.40 x 8.43. Faint. HCA score: Big 1.1

Plus, once you’re in that size range, I’d definitely go for smaller but best cut/most sparkle!!! It will still have amazing finger coverage.

Cut is King. Brighter, flashier, sparklier diamonds are better quality, and literally outshine their beefy competition.
If you can find one stone that ticks both boxes, that’s a bonus.
But a superiorly cut stone will appear larger and will be more visible from a distance.
Choose a vendor with an awesome upgrade policy, and you are set!!!

I would go for cut given how close they are in size! I will go for HCA 1.1

more sparkle. it look look big and you'll be able to see it in all kinds of lighting, versus getting a bigger ok sparkle ring and not being impressed by it in more sorts of lighting. Once you get your ring, you will be looking at it all the time. You don't want it to constantly disappoint you. And if you get a bigger stone that has just ok/good sparkle, rather than amazing sparkle, that's just getting something that is something bigger and thus disappoints you more. That's what I learned. Maybe you'll think differently.

A well cut stone will sparkle from edge to edge, as already noted above, meaning it will look larger.

A stone that is dark/non-sparkly around the edges will look smaller.
