I'm working on a really fun project that in the end will use approx 9-10 cts of round diamonds. I have myself a bit confused. I've reached out to both BGD and WF after seeing so many gorgeous, high quality pieces from them on this forum. I'm impressed with both vendors and the quality of diamonds that will be in the piece and both appear to be comparable in price and great to work with. With that being said, they have both done a great job branding their diamonds...Brian Gavin Signature Hearts & Arrows F/G VS and Whiteflash ACA F/G VS. While branding is great, it makes it difficult to compare. While cost is important, in the end I'm willing to spend more for the best diamonds. This is a very special piece, one I'll wear everyday, and in my mind a heirloom piece. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

It's unlikely you'll be able to notice one being better over the other. Brian was with WF from the start, helping set the standard for ACA (buy left to start his own company) and so their standard is very comparable. Ultimately it comes down to which vendor happens to have a stone that matches your needs, the best price and other customer service factors, such as trade up policies etc. You won't go wrong with either and I'm sure you'll end up with a beautiful piece.

I agree with above post - BGD Signature H&A and WF ACA are both top-of-the-line, super-ideal-cut diamond brands -- I don't think you'll see a difference in cut quality -- if it were me, I'd go with whichever vendor makes the setting identical/most similar to what you want -- if they both have the setting, then I'd go with the vendor with the best pricing and/or upgrade benefits.

Thank you both so much. That helps a lot.

Go with whoever has the better inventory for your price.

I am just curious and would ask a question. Are you going with one center diamond and several carats of melee goods, or are you using several larger diamonds to add up to the carat weight of 9-10 catas of diamonds? If so, you might need to avail yourself of diamonds from both brands.

In either case, you may wish to arrange to see the diamonds you are wanting to look at side by side. For a purchase of this size, it may well be worth the comfort to you to travel and see the diamonds from both companies. After all, it is YOUR eyes that will be doing the loving of the finished piece.

If you are still looking for a diamond tennis bracelet similar to mine, I am confident that WF can produce a quality product for you. Their melee are non-fluorescent which makes them uniform. They were able to source my 20pt stones easily and they have done larger size melee (I linked the 9+ctw WF bracelet in your other thread)/custom settings before for other clients. It is a daily staple piece for me and will become a family heirloom for generations to come. Here's my platinum 7.8ctw WF bracelet on my wrist for perspective:
