Hi guy so after deciding on the diamond which was I thought was painful enough it now comes to the setting. So Im getting this 2.15ct H VS2 MBF BD Blue http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/diamonds/diamond-details/2.153-h-vs2-round-diamond-ags-bl-104067041001

Most likely I will be getting the Tiffany shared prone .5 circle eternity band 3mm or 3.5mm ( due to insurance claim )

So I just not sure if a plain band or pave would look good. The only reservations I have with the plain band which I do love the look of with the Tiffany eternity is I might not always wear the eternity band (Im not getting married so no issue) Therefore if I have a day wear I only want to wear one ring I think it may look a bit to plain for my liking by itself.

So these are what I am thinking and do like, but just praying they will look great with the Eternity band

BG Six prong Fishtail pave ( will this style pave clash with the eternity?)

BG U Shaped half eternity ( maybe these stones are a little to big though)

BG Novela ( don't love the 4 prone though )

BG Classic Tiffany half round ( a little hesistant for reasons above )

I have not seen any of these in person as I don't live in the US which is why I would love to hear what anyone thinks. Thanks :)

Hi Paulav,
That's a nice stone!
I personaly went the Novela but I was seriously considering a 6 prong head too. You could always have BGD quote on additioal prongs if that's all you're missing. Have you have the opportunity to look at Tiffany rings in person to help decide?
That said I do really like the finished 4 prong ring.

cheers

Thanks so much VIpet!

I have spoken to Lesley and they are unable to do the 6 prong Novela, I think it just doesn't work. I really am having a tuff time deciding I have placed my order with the 6 prong fishtail BUT am still considering the Novela and have a day or so as I need to advise them of my correct ring size. Do you have a pic you would like to share at all, if so that would be so great if you would post it.

Thanks again for your input :)

Hmm.

If you don't like the head on the Novella, I'm not sure it would grow on you. More likely every time you look at it you'll be thinking... wish I'd gone for 6 prongs.

I do love the 6 prong with pave. Not sure how it would look with your eternity band though. I think it depends a lot on the band.

I think the Tiffany half-round is the way to go, personally.

Here's an idea though. You could get a nice pave fishtail band to go with the half round. That way on days you don't feel like wearing the eternity you can switch to a thinner low profile pave band... that way you get a break from the eternity band, and get a new look, with some bling but not as much as the eternity, for days you feel like wearing a simpler look.

This one looks perfect: http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/wedding-and-anniversary-bands/eternity-bands/erika-fishtail-pave-band-18k-white-gold-5811w18 little bit of bling, 2mm, 3/4 eternity. Just right.

Thanks for your opinion gypsy much appreciated. I think though I was letting the eternity band decide everything and in all honestly I don't have it or have even seen it yet. Still awaiting a decision with insurance. So I have settled on the setting I really like originally So Im getting the 6 prong fishtail pave in platinum, at the end of the day I will get this first and work around that ring as oppose to via versa. I love the prongs and think this is a very pretty setting, the only reservations I have is that I feel that the jiggered type edges could be smoothed out a little so I will see if that can be done. I think I will just feel a lot happier if its slightly smoother. Hopefully it will be easy for Brain to tweek it a little.

But otherwise its all decided and paid for. The damn exchange rate from my bank got me for $1500 more than what I was expecting from an online conversion calculator :angryfire: I think overall my budget blew out by about $4000, so god help me if I don't love the setting. I will just have to see :D
