Bezelling a marquise?

I like how flattering the NS orientation is but it just reads too “engagement ring” to me. And I wouldn’t want it competing too much with any engagement ring I’d get.

I like the way they do three prongs in a row on these examples. I think this is what you might want to do if you want that v prong protection effect

Also just adding these photos cause I’m proud of how they turned out! @pearaffair I think would be happy to know I literally have worn hazel everywhere since getting her! Hehe. I figured I need to enjoy her before my jeweler returns next week and I turn her over for her make over adventure.

You know, I am actually really really REALLY happy to know that you're wearing hazel like crazy! I only wore her out of the house one and a half times!!!! Once to the playground (haha sooooo not the right scene) and once to my friend's tea party, which was cool, but then I put it into my purse halfway through because I felt so weird and conspicuous. Funny, right?

But she looks simply DIVINE on you and your fingers are even more slender than mine so hazel looks MASSIVE in the very best way! I'm so glad she has a happy new home!

I second neil's suggestion of the little groups of three prongs! It seems like a really good way to protect your points without the severe look of Vs

Just dropped her off with my jeweler. Along with my ACA bangle to get sized down. I feel so naked!

Yes. I know exactly what you mean. I dropped my ring offs at Thursday to have something checked and they told me it would be ready on Friday. On Friday they told me it would be ready on Monday. Today, Monday, they said tomorrow! Yours will be excruciating I’m sure! I’ll pray Christmas and no later for you!

Haha yes. Hazel will definitely be an alternate ering! I’ll just have to wear with a band or a little plastic sizing thing since I made her a 5.5 so I could have the option of wearing it on my middle finger too.

She sent me a wax which she’s going to cast and then add prongs to. Ahhh. Waiting feels like torture.
