Alright, a quick update as I''m still working on this ring. I contacted Niessing and they said they can set old miner or cushion cut stones in the Open End setting I''m looking at. The stone I''m looking for is in the .30-.34 range. I''d like to find a nice brown stone (round, old miner, or cushion) but I could also go for a colorless old miner cut stone. The problem is, it seems to be difficult to find an ideal or excellent cut on the old miner.
