Hello all,

I am wondering what the PS community thinks about August Vintage stones with less than Ideal AGL grades. Specifically, the following stone:

I notice that the cut grade is only rated Very Good, and the polish and symmetry are less than Ideal. Can anyone explain what effect this might have on the stone? I've seen a triple Ideal grade AVC and it was beautiful, but I am curious about these "lower" rated ones.

Thanks in advance!

It's only a polish and symmetry. You won't even notice it.

No issues whatsoever for me, because the stone gets ideal (0) on light performance (as evidenced by the ASET, etc.), polish is very good (which is fine), and symmetry is excellent. So all that really matters is if the stone meets your requirements for the shape, size, color, etc. I could personally love that particular stone in a Tiffany Legacy style setting!
