I have narrowed my selection of august vintage cushions down to two stones each with two pictures each.
The first stone#1 is a 1.06gvs2 has a table of 51.2% and a l/w 5.91/6.12
The second stone#2 is a 1.05gvs2 has a table of 46.7% and a l/w 6.02/6.21

User Arkieb1 gave great advice would love to give others a chance to chime in.
Please help by giving opinions which diamond #1 or #2 you would choose and why

I like the second one better. A little less blue on the ASET and faces up bigger. That being said, AVCs are cut for optimum light performance, so you really can't go wrong with either one.

I find stone 2 more appealing because the facets seem more symmetrical but that's nitpicking because both are well cut.

Did you end up getting them to make a video for you with them next to each other so that YOU can see which one your eye prefers?

They are in the process of doing so they were closed on Monday. I expect the video is being made and will be available tomorrow for our viewing pleasure.

O.K, that is good. See if you agree with everyone else, so far the 1.05 is the winner, but it should be what your eyes prefer as well. They are both nice stones.

I will post video of other diamonds when available. But in the mean time what does everyone think about this one? Is it in the same league. Optical symmetry and optical proformance is paramount. http://www.victorcanera.com/diamonds/ga6qkf

Nice stone as well, also a top cut. I am a big fan of getting the biggest stone in your budget and that one is marginally larger so.... He makes settings to die for too!!! What type of setting are you looking for a plain style or a halo?

The lady has her heart set on tacori 2620 so if I go with victor canera I would have to get local jeweler to set it maybe if I show my girl his work she would change her mind. Doesn't the ags light proformance map look a little asymmetrical or is it fine, producing all the lovely pastels that the avc do?

It will perform much the same, it is a triple Ideal cut as well... I don't think you can just look at the ASET images now, we KNOW they are all nice stones, remember the little exercise the other day with the video, now you need to use your eyes and look at which one you like better. I went to the GOG website and I think I found the 1.05, so go back to there look at the actual pics of the stone not the ASET and look at Victor's first pic not the ASET and you can see both stones are a nice uniform shape, they are more square cushions rather than the longer rectangular ones. Now when you are looking at both actual pics which one do you like better?

It's a balancing act when you buy a diamond. The ASET of the 1.05 is marginally the best on paper, and we are talking by a whisker, then the VC then the 1.06 last. If I have the correct stone on the GOG website, the VC is whiter and bigger, if you look at the outside outline of both the VC has the better more uniform overall shape, and if you look at the measurements 6.26 x 6.25 its almost a perfect square.

Unfortunately we can't get a video of each side by side, we know that both stones are amazing. She will be awestruck by either. Now it's up to you to work out do you want a bit bigger, which colour do you want, which one appeals more to YOU. I'd go for the larger cheaper option, but you might not agree.
