Hi all,
I have just started looking at diamonds for our engagement ring. I came across this AGS report with 2 AGSL images.
Please see attached image.
Correct me if i am wrong, is the 2nd image taken from below the diamond to form the heart shapes? Should i be worry that there are so many grey areas?

Your advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Henry

The image is computer generated and shows the pavilion view of the diamond. The greys in that hearts pattern is expected.

Thanks leoshraeder,
but is the amount of grey excessive?

Excessive light leakage when viewing the bottom of a diamond.

This may be as good as, "What is the sound of one hand clapping" as a Buddhist koan. :)

The point of it is just to show the symmetry, the colors don't really mean anything.
