As An Adult, Do You Still Remember Your Stuffed Animals?

JewelFreak, I'm completely traumatised by Tedzer's story. I can't believe he was torn apart TWICE! He must really hate dogs and humans. Poor, poor Tedzer. Well, I think he looks lovely now. I would never laugh at him. He is a wise and handsome bear. I think he should be Sir Tedzer, in recognition of his war wounds.
Well, he would accept an OBE, Smith. He's not one to put himself forward. But wouldn't an OBE medal look smashing on him? Oh -- he sends his thanks for thinking he's handsome. He's too modest to claim wisdom, but I've always been impressed at all he's seen and not a word to anyone about any of it.

No.
I don't think I ever had a stuffed animal.

Maybe that's my problem. :nono:

HI:

For sure---my dalmatian, aka "spotty dog".

cheers--Sharon

Beige Bunny is horrified. He sends you a hug.

He's an uber-bear!

I LIKE BEIGE BUNNY. He looks much loved -- & I'll bet he loves back!

Smith1942, the movie the Holy Grail has this vicious little killer rabbit guarding some crossing or cave or something like that. My husband is a big Monty Python fan and we went to the traveling broadway show Spamalot which makes fun of the Monty Python movies. They had this little killer rabbit hand puppet in it. After the show I looked on Amazon for a stuffed killer rabbit and found a small one and put on top of my husbands Christmas stalking. It is built around a big metal clip so his mouth opens and can clamp on to things. He has pointy little teeth too even though they are felt.

My husband works at home so I will come home and find his killer rabbits chewing on my teddy bears or dangling them off the couch.

The teddy bears are the ones Kay's and Jared's sell for St Jude's children hospital. I started buying them 3 years ago. My husband ordered more killer rabbits after I ended up with 6 teddy bears. We have sure had a lot of amusement from those little stuffed animals. But we are easily amused. They even have their own Facebook pages.

Marcy, those rabbits SERIOUSLY need some discipline!

My kids have my Fisher Price Apple Bear and FP Horse. So yes, I do!

Smith1942, I agree. Since DH works at home he gets bored frequently so I never know what I'll find when I get home. DH will get up early and I will wake up and find the rabbit staring at me. When I am cooking supper or doing dishes he is on the surround sound speaker looking at me. All of our friends are in on the gag now and just egg us on with new ideas.

oh that is funny! Yes, that is the one! I know a few other PS'ers that have that bear too; must of been a bear from the late 70's early 80s  You and I both had one, cool!

Marcy, what kind of mayhem do you suppose goes on in your house when nobody's home? Have you ever come home & found lamps, tables knocked over, drawers open w/contents spread around? Or maybe the bed all messed up? I think you should get a nanny-cam & find out!

Tedzer is definitely brave. And important because he's the Grandfather of all the stuffed animals in the house. He even fought off Charlie, my Siberian, when she was a puppy & more dangerous than any killer rabbit. (Used his old musket from the Revolution, which he keeps handy in case of jewel thieves.)

Ted says Beige Bunny doesn't look like a wimp either. Maybe they could meet at his club?

Oh, your DH has spoiled the killer rabbits, then. Now they will always kill! Unless you threaten them with Bunny Boarding School...works with mine.

JF, Charlie is so sweet!!

Beige Bunny is too little for an outing to a club, I'm afraid. He's now not speaking to me because I've ruined his fun. I'm a protective Bunny Mummy!

Cute bear! I grew up in the Seventies but I don't remember Apple Bear. I remember Fisher Price, though. My sister got this tiny little white car for her 18th birthday, honestly it was so small it was pathetic, and I used to tell her it looked as if it had been made by Fisher Price!

Pretty funny, Smith1942. I like the idea of Bunny Boarding School. DH tells me I brought the predator in to our house and the teddy bears are his only food source so naturally the rabbit is going to hunt my bear.

I have often commented to DH I am going to Facetime in to my iPad so I can see what is going on while I am at work. I hear all sorts of stories that my bears surf for bear ****, that they are sissies because self respecting bears don't wear hats, booties and scarves. I'll find the rabbit using my iPad to look up bear stew or bear paws recipes. One time I came home to find stuffing and fuzz all over the couch and floor and one teddy bear was missing. Here is a photo of that mess with 2 teddy bears looking on or hiding from the rabbit. It turned out to be a pillow DH torn open to stage the scene.

Marcy - that photo! Hahahaaaa! HAAAAAAA! Funniest thing I've seen in ages! Those bears look SO guilty!

And the rabbits looking up bear stew, and the bears looking up teddy ****! ROFL!

DH and I have both had a lot of laughs with those silly stuffed animals. DH is quite creative and amusing. I never know what I am going to find when I come home. If I don't see his rabbit when I get home I wander around looking in cupboards, under the teddy bears, in the refrigerator; just about any place it could be hiding. Which of course just encourages DH to pull more rabbit / bear tricks on me.

lol, that is CUTE Marcy!

Yes, it's seriously cute! Your DH sounds as if he has a good sense of humour, as well as you.

We also have a laugh with our stuffed animals. Once, I came home to find my horses playing the electric piano. And two of our rabbits are engaged.

I bet seeing the horses playing the electric piano was great. I love it! Too funny the rabbits are engaged.

OMG yes I totally do remember mine - in fact I still have my original and most loved bear ("Ted" - original name eh? ) who sits in the armchair in our lounge room and surveys his kingdom.

I was given him when I was born (and to be honest not many other toys) so he was really my one true love. When I was about 4 or 5 my older sister finally told my mum it was about time I got some more toys of my own instead of longingly looking at theirs! LOL. I remember clearly it was a goooood xmas that year - I got 3 new toys! But none compare to Ted and I've given them all to my neices & nephews to play with.

Ted is now a little worse for wear, missing fur and stuffing, his nose is looking a bit lopsided and his fur a little matted BUT it was from an entire childhood of adventure. Swiming in the river, horseriding, camping in the bush, making "cubbies" and climbing trees, trips to the beach plus endless games of "Doctors" - dab of Vicks on his nose or a band aid on his paw, dress up games - whatever! Honestly if there was a house fire - I'd grab him without a doubt before I run out the door. I hope one day our child will love him too.

Well, where's the picture of Ted then? It sounds as if he led a very active life - what a lucky bear!
