Art Deco Eternity Ring - What cut is this? Yay or Nay?

Hello! What do we make of this little eternity ring? I think they are baguettes- unusual though as they have a really tall crown as can be seen in one photo as the ring curves around- what does this tell us? In the 4th photo I’m not sure I even know what I’m looking at!

It’s 1.75ct with zero other info on the stones and awful photography. It looks pretty bad in these photos, but perhaps just unfair photography. It’s a size L1/2-M. I would need it sized up about a half size.

Probably around the $1500 mark.

It’s really dirty or maybe they aren’t diamonds? Yeah - poor photos. They look glass-y, doing them no favor, lol!

I see the higher crowns on some - the ones that look more like baguettes (keel line) don’t have that higher crown?

I think it’s an interesting one to look further at. Hard to see but yeah possibly carre with the flavor of the higher crown. Hard to see if there is cut corners on the stones or not.

Mine are flatty flat pancakes - lol.

Looks like mostly care with higher crowns than usual. Looks like 2 baguettes next to each other, perhaps replacements? Does the seller know enough to tell you how many baguettes are in the band?

Thanks guys. I made some bids but ultimately let it go… the glassiness was strange, though given the setting and age etc I was quietly confident they were diamonds. The fact I would need it resized, the ambiguity of the photos and lack of info available from the seller, and finally what seemed to be about 20% import duty plus $70 postage, it made its way to the too hard basket.

They said it was 30 stones all up for 1.75 ctw. Is the higher crown typical of old cut carres? I thought it was very interesting and wonder how it would affect visuals.

Higher crown typical of old cut asschers and the pics are so bad perhaps they have clipped corners? Since you need it resized, is there something special about this one? Resizing for eternities is a pain. Could you keep looking for one your size or is timing an issue?

Not anything so much apart from the unusual high crowns, I like things that are different. I’m in no rush, the search will continue.
