The business owners could not be more pleased. ..F-ing Yes!
Politicians, on both sides, care more about being reelected than doing the right thing for public health.
Regarding the "reopening" of states ... the virus itself could not be more pleased.

Don't worry Kenny, you won't die. People have bills to pay each month.Yeah, let's all die so someone can make money.
Priorities.
Nope!!! Free as a bird (within government guidelines of course).
The kids have been ordered to go back to school so I figure it's game over once you bring festy kids into the equation.
I never went to bars so the only change is that I'll be going to more restaurants with my sister. And window shopping!!!
I ate out heaps during the period where the numbers were jumping and just before they locked us up so I plan to happily eat out once there are more places for me to eat!
My county had close to 40,000 confirmed cases, with still over 100 new cases daily. 1,900 dead. It certainly is a huge improvement from a month ago but they just started opening things up yesterday. So I'll remain at home as long as I can and continue to take same precautions.

Wow, this is exactly why "one size fits all" guidelines are so useless and why some of us are in quarantine and some are not. I can certainly see why you'd stay home! In my whole county, there have been a total of around 60 cases and there are currently only 15 active cases (the highest day ever was 16 cases and there have been no deaths). There is not a major city in my county, so we live in a less congested area which likely helps there be less spread.
Omg! Same! I wast just realizing that I was running around rampant until the very last day before shut-down! Casinos. Shopping. Restaurants. No masks back then. But I also remember panicking at some point when my allergies kicked in! I didn’t not enjoy the paranoia!! I remember thinking how irresponsible I would feel if I came down with Covid! So I’m kind of hesitant to throw caution to the wind. I’m convinced it’s safe outdoors with 6 ft distance. But not so much indoors bc i can’t gauge air circulation and no, won’t let strangers touch me yet for hair or nails, etc. I’m longing to go to Vegas but I’m going to give it one month to see what develops.
If you go to Vegas you have to tag me!!!! Can you peer in at a buffet for me?
I'm obsessed with finding out what the buffet situation is
I developed a sore throat about a week after my last sketchy buffet with international tourists. It was probably the only time I started getting nervous but I was back to my usual self the next day much to my relief.
My area is still closed as we are close to NYC. I will continue to stay home until I have to go back to work. We do food shop weekly.
I will admit that I am a little nervous that when we are let out, our immunities will be lessened and there will be a lot of illnesses going around. I may be wrong, but my reasoning is this....I’m a teacher. Every summer, I am virtually a hermit. It never fails that I get sick every September when we return.
