This is a silver ring I own that is actually a good example.
I like how the shank runs right into the basket.
I also like the basket. I am open to ones that are plain like this, or maybe have something going on. But I don't like the really open or exposed ones.
I am wondering if in the event I do find a setting like this, if a band would fit flush? Maybe I would need one like this except slightly raised so it could have a band next to it.
Has anyone seen a bezel halo like this? (basket/shank)
Gypsy your ring is very pretty!

Hmm, that's not really what I was envisioning. It's honestly... a lot of metal from the side view. I don't know how else to put it. Do you want a ring that's exactly like that? Then I think custom may be the way to go, to get exactly what you want. Are you able to wear a band flush with that ring? If not, there's your answer.
It reminds me a lot of OneGarnetGirl's designs: https://www.etsy.com/listing/106479877/14k-rose-gold-and-oregon-sunstone-halo
A setting like that may or may not allow for a band to sit flush, because the angle of the metal surrounding the stone and where it connects to the shank may push the band away from the shank. Depending on how wide the band you wear with it is, it may or may not work. The shank would need to be pretty wide (like, nearly as wide as the diamond/halo, which could be pretty wide), or the center stone/halo width in good proportion to the shank (so a smaller stone with a narrower shank, or a larger stone with a wider shank). You can see in the OneGarnetGirl listing that she's paired that ring with a very curved band. This is why most halo settings have cathedral sides to support the center stone/halo, as well as allow for a band to be worn flush or close to flush. Having a bunch of metal surrounding the center stone is going to make a flush band really difficult. Unless you go custom, you may have to choose one or the other.

Okay that's similar to what I was picturing when you mentioned a full metal basket! It's a sort of modern/contemporary/rustic look. I'm sure it could be modified to allow a band to sit flush, although the band may wind up going sort of under the basket, iykwim.
You do want a diamond halo, right? Not just a bezel, but a bezel with a diamond halo?
Here's a rustic/modern bezel halo with full metal basket by Green Lake that would allow a band to sit flush. It doesn't have shoulders, but could be modified to have them: http://www.greenlakejewelry.com/gallery/gallery_detail.aspx?ImgID=73619
Here's a bezel halo metal basket that has shoulders, but wouldn't allow a flush band. Again something that could be modified: http://www.greenlakejewelry.com/gallery/gallery_detail.aspx?ImgID=96959
This is a bezel halo with a petal design basket, and cathedral shoulders. This one looks like it would leave a small gap. http://www.greenlakejewelry.com/gallery/gallery_detail.aspx?ImgID=95801
I would inquire with DK for a custom (Green Lake does lovely work but runs on the pricey side, so depends on your budget). I've seen him do a variety of eclectic styles.

Your rings arms just don't have the cut outs, but they are there. And you could have this design modified to make the "arms" (shoulders) not have the cut outs.
It's a Singlestone ring so it's REALLY freaking expensive. But since you would want it modified anyway, you can get a custom ring inspired by it done by Brilliantly Engaged. They have already done one ring that was inspired by this design (without the halo, just the shank and shoulder design) and they could easily modify that design with a halo for you. And it would probably cost around 4k for the setting.

It would be a standalone ring.

I like this ring the more I look at it. Esp if they could skip the cutouts or maybe the tiny diamonds underneath. (But not a super big deal if they stayed.)
I wonder if it would be a standalone or I'd still think it needs a band? (Which might not fit. But if they had to make something then maybe it could be modified somehow?)

I am rambling now...

I used to have a ring with plain thick bezel sides much like the Flare ring directly above many eons ago and it was really difficult to keep the stone sparkling because of cleaning issues.
