Anyone NOT like Christmas music??

I agree. I try not to let people know what a Scrooge I am.
I'm not sure how I got this way, maybe all the commercialization and $$$$ has finally registered with me.

Same. I'm pretty cynical for the most part, and the commercialization of the holidays have made that a little worse, I'm sure. However, on a more positive note, it seems that the holidays make me recognize how blessed I really am... that's usually when we give big to charities and church.

My son sings Christmas music all year (He’s Autistic)..because he loves Christmas. He loves the whole package with the decorating, lights..etc..Now we have the Christmas music station going every minute he’s home..His favorite movie is the Grinch..(first one).. I enjoy Christmas but the music does get to me.. He’s so happy that I just try to block it out...If you hear anything for that long it can make you crazy..
My daughter-in-law is Jewish...We both don’t like the Adam Sandler’s Hanukkah song..His voice grates on my nerves..I can’t even watch his movies now...I blocked it out so can’t remember the name of the song..sigh..

Believe it or not, I can actually tolerate the Grinch song from the old animated movie! HA!

I saw this tree on tv...think it was the Today show..that looks like a wreath on the floor and you pull it up from the middle and it snaps into a tree that already decorated..You can add a few ornaments to make it your own..lol

I haven't seen that... may have to check it out!!

Believe it or not, I can actually tolerate the Grinch song from the old animated movie! HA!

I don’t mind the songs when it’s part of a movie like the Grinch which is cute..I like most except for the sad ones..Some are depressing to me. As I said before my son sings them all year long and the Christmas music station is going 24/7 right now..so yes...I’m feeling like I’ve had my share already..

Someone gave my dad the Peanuts Christmas album one year. He would play it all of December until the year he got Kenny G's Christmas album and then he'd alternate them. I don't hate Christmas music, but I run the other way at the sound of the Peanuts theme song.

My Christmas playlist is mostly carols. O Holy Night is my favorite. But I like some modern/commercial stuff. I'm a sucker for Bells Will Be Ringing. I like the more crooner-y stuff. Michael Bubble's album is good, and prime.

After today, I don't wanna deal at ALL anymore.

I go to the post office, nothing major right? So I get there.

First, there's a fist fight in the parking lot. and 2 other ladies yelling spanish at each other. I know enough spanish to know they weren't screaming happy holidays.

Next, I see a line OUT THE DOOR snaking around the corner. I was done. I didn't even bother, just went back home.

I want to stay in the house until January 15...lol.

I have an album of Christmas songs and I play it in December.
My favourite is All I Want For Christmas Is You, and I would play it on a loop until I am fed up with it after about 10 times!
I am usually sick of the adverts and music by Boxing Day.

I love classical and traditional Christmas music. But the problem is the same music gets played over and over in stores and on the radio...way too early. If they just wait until two weeks before the holiday and get more variety I think it would not be such a trigger for the ears. (Not going to happen) Same thing with Christmas decorations and goods on sale at stores from Halloween on. Too early. Consumerism and commercialism has made it intolerable.
