Anyone in or near Philly with an ASET/Idealscope?

I want to check out my Lightbox diamond with an ASET and idealscope, but not badly enough to buy them since I'll only use it once. It sounds like jewelers don't tend to have them, but if anyone knows a local jeweler that does, I'll check them out.

My Lightbox diamond is currently in the setting it came in but I'm going to have it removed and set into something else. Before I have it set, I wanted to get the ASET and Idealscope images while it's loose. And of course I would share the pictures here since I don't know what I'm looking at! Someone did share some ASET/IS pictures on another thread, but while the stone was still in the setting so it's not perfect.

So if you're in or near Philly and have an ASET and Idealscope and want to help me check out the Lightbox stone, let me know! =)2

FWIW, you can get an ASET for $50 or less. And if you ever plan on buying another diamond in your life it will be worth it for you to have it.

Yeah I've considered it but I really don't need to see the images, I'm just curious and figured others here would enjoy seeing them too. $50 is more than I'm willing to spend for something like this, especially since the results aren't going to affect my decision to keep this stone or not.

"especially since the results aren't going to affect my decision to keep this stone or not"

So if the ASET showed poor light performance that wouldn't affect your decision? Or are you already sure it is a good performer (which in that case seeing an ASET is pretty irrelevant)?

All I wanted was sparkly white cheap and chemically a diamond, which was not possible before LB launched. This hits all my requirements. I've been looking at it every day since I got it last week and I'm in love with it. I've seen it compared to other diamonds in the store and it's much better than anything else in my price range.

If it turns out this isn't a PS worthy cut, I wouldn't return it and spend 4x the price for something "better." So really it's just curiosity and wanting to contribute to the board for other people to review these new LB stones.

If you're in love with it already it might be a bad idea to scrutinize it further. You don't want to undercut your own decision -- however I do appreciate your desire to share info about the LB stones here.

That's actually exactly what my boyfriend said and I'm now thinking maybe I shouldn't look. I'm happy with it now. The only thing that comes from seeing these images is a) I'm just as happy as I am now, or b) I'm suddenly less happy. Lol.

I'm curious what people think about the ASET and IS images in the other thread, @stonewell took them from several LB pieces but still in the setting. Have you seen them? I'll post a screenshot here, hopefully this is allowed.

Hmm, those photos seem to exhibit pretty substantial light leakage. I would say don't bother looking at yours with an ASET. You are happy with them so just leave it at that!

Done! Lol.
