That is precisely why I am posting, shortee! Your diamond is definitely a beauty and it''s good to know others feel the way I do. I thought I was getting an ideal cut because my GIA cert says ideal make and excellent cut. Little did I know!!! The HCA doesnt score my stone well at all (yours beats mine-- I am a nerd too and I checked) and it took me way longer than my return period to even realize that I could have done better. I will eventually recut it because in some lighting conditions the I can see leakage and it bothers me. I already wrote a few posts about recutting it and I can do it without losing much weight, but I want to really be sure before I do it cause you can''t reverse that!!! For the time being I just wanted to know if others had similar stones to mine and how they felt about them. My fiance thinks I''m way too neurotic and should leave it alone, but he doesn''t take it personally because I picked it in the first place. Yours is steep like mine but not as deep on the pavilion so I''m a little jealous
But it is gorgeous and I appreciate your reply so THANKS!!![]()

lisa, all your rings are GORGEOUS!! I wish my diamond had arrows *pout*
Hehe, this is so funny, because the more I see pictures like YOURS, the more I long for a simple solitaire setting. In fact, I''m pretty much set on a solitaire setting for my upgrade in 6 yearsDate: 6/10/2008 11:33:07 AM

I was just thinking the same thing about your delicious ring!
I thought, ''Hmm, the band is so exquisite and that diamond is so white and I love the entire ensemble, maybe I should..........HAHAHAHA.''
Funny so yours is not a Super Ideal, neither is mine (although I still think that remains to be determined for us both) and I am still pining away at what I don''t have and u do!
As for the arrows, I had no idea they were there until I got on PS started freaking out about my diamond and took some pics - lo and behold there they were!
I bet if you block the light source with your camera you''ll find them too!
Look at Pieface''s diamond! Loads of arrows there!
BTW: seems the HCA favors lower CA but remember everything works in concert with one another. Ultimately it''s how the diamond looks to u that matters!!!!!

Thanks tradergirl!
Now, I might sound like a nerd, but I actually memorized my diamond specs (gosh, did I just admit that in public?)
It's CA 35.5, PA 40.8, Table 55, Depth 62.3. It also has a really long LGF...85%. It's not that great in the HCA, but in real life, it's a really sparkly nice diamondI was 100% happy with my diamond, until I found Pricescope. Now I feel like I could do better! Anyone else feel this way?
So well said!!!! I also saved thousands of dollars by buying an us machine!!!! It made me love my diamond like never before!!!!Date: 6/10/2008 12:53:57 AM

I think sometimes we detail-oriented people tend to overanalyze and get a little carried away! I thought my diamond was the best (GIA triple EX) until the HCA said that it''s only good if the ''price is right''. I wonder why I need to try to make the HCA happy, when the only person that matters is ME! So I''m at peace with my diamond, for now at leastI am still a complete newbie, so I don''t even know what leakage means, but I don''t want to know if I have it, because then I''ll lose even more sleep over my ''imperfect'' diamond. I''m telling ya, ignorance is bliss!
One thing that I did that made me fall in love with my diamond again (even after the HCA results), is clean it really well and take it out for a nice stroll outside. It was blindingly sparklyI purchased a cheap ultrasonic from ebay and it basically saved me thousands of dollars (if you look at my old posts, you''ll see that I came to pricescope with the purpose of upgrading my diamond, but now that I love my diamond again, I am postponing that upgrade until my tenth year wedding anniversary).
I think sometimes we have to take a step back and realize that there are lots of important things in life, and although a perfect diamond would be great, for me at least, it''s not going to change my life ALL THAT MUCH. I think we should remind ourselves of this frequently, so we don''t go into the ''deep-spiral-of-self-doubt'' about our diamonds. (PS: This are just my thoughts and I hope I didn''t offend anyone!)
And, here are some more shots of my ring, taken with my point-and-shoot a few weeks ago. (My hubby thinks I am ABSOLUTELY crazy taking pictures of my ring)
Your ring is lovely! At the end of the day, numbers only mean so muchDate: 6/11/2008 10:26:56 PM

Yeah, same thing happened to me. Of course I don''t have a RB...but I''ll share anyway. My diamond is terribly gorgeous but when I got onto Pricescope I learned that it has too low a crown, too big a table, and is slightly too deep (but only slightly...and the large table makes up for the face-up spread). But, again...it''s just lovely and beautiful and I still love it, despite its slight misgivings.
I love my US machine! I''ve cleaned so many people''s rings at the workplace that I''ve been getting special requests for cleaningsDate: 6/12/2008 10:29:09 AM

Knowing what I do about how fragile and randome life is, I am really gratefull that we have the time and freedom to be able to `worry` about our diamonds. I admit that for me even being able to dedicate time to thinking about diamonds shows that Im very fortunate in this world!!!!! So as much as I obsess and think about diamonds, Im never far off from reality and that they are just a fun luxury for entertainment.......and Im just a big diamond loving whore!!!!Did I just say that!!!!!![]()
