So far I haven''t see as Strmrdr would say a ''woofer'' in the bunch!
What would he consider a "woofer", do you know? Just wondering if mine is..... :P

Hey Shortee - Strmrdr is fairly exacting in his expectations on cut.

Anything less than AGS 000 is probably a "woofer" so I wouldn''t worry about it.

He prefers lower CA and longer LGF% 75-80%.

If you do a search on him you''ll see his thoughts. He does get a lot of flack though.

Thanks Lisa1. I''m not married yet, so I can''t pull it out, we vowed to not look at them until next month when we''re married. We were so funny b/c when we picked up our bands we had to run some errands and we didn''t want to leave them in the car, so WE WORE THEM TO SOME STORES! I know some might say this is bad luck, but it was fun to play married.

Anywhoo I will post away when I can wear them forever. It is a micropave band by Simon G in plat.with .41 karats in diamonds. I can''t find the MM width though on my purchase order though. It''s very delicate so I''m thinking 2mm.

Well actually I did find some more when I went on a picture tirade session when I picked it up.

Sabinameister-- Mine is GREAT in most lighting, then I get in the car and it''s kind of a woofer! I see beautiful arrows a lot of the time at home, then some really great fire in the sun, and this really cool black/white contrasty look in some restaurant lighting. It looks like my stone is dressed for a formal affair almost

I''ve heard that SOME leakage can be good for contrast brilliance, I guess that is why because it is a cool look. But then I get in the passenger seat of anyone''s car (looks good while I''m driving though) and the horrible ring of death appears! Don''t know about candlelight though... But your ring is absolutely beautiful! Everything about it is perfect and I soooooo want that band to go with my solitaire!

MikeRato1---My crown is 35.5 too. Gorgeous arrow shots and really cool setting! So glad to know you actually preferred your poorly scoring stone. I havent gotten to compare mine with better scoring ones but there seems to be a lot of controversy about stones like ours. The GIA EX steep deep threads are really interesting to read. I was convinced someday soon I''d recut mine, and I still might eventually, but I''m definitely rethinking it after reading some of this stuff. I think they are older threads but the info is still new to me. People get pretty riled up over this stuff!

tberube-- Where are some pics? If you post some I''ll borrow my fiance''s camera and finally get some of mine up too! Your avatar looks gorgeous!

Ladyciel-- LOVE your solitaire! The heart prongs are awesome!

Thanks everyone for keeping my thread going, I am loving these pictures and hearing about how your (maybe) non super ideal stones are sparkly and beautiful! I think I will have to get one of those ultrasonics too! Is it really that much better than just scrubbing the hell out of it every day?

You guys are absolutely right I am spoiled rotten and very fortunate to be able to even think of diamonds like I do! Sharon-- good to know there are two of us

You guys have a great perspective on things and I totally agree! For one that we are all very lucky in this world, and for other that it does make the day go by quicker! It is a nice distraction from reality sometimes

Thanks again everyone for all your posts and shortee have fun "nesting"
