Anyone have any experience with setting up an OGI Megascope?

So my buddy's computer crashed and we had to reinstall everything. The Megascope 2C is plugged in, the software has been installed, but for some reason all I'm getting is some sort of scrambled video feed inside of the application. I've been trying to get in touch with OGI or ANYONE who has any sort of insight into this. It was working fine before.. hopefully someone here is familiar with the issue? Any help would be VERY GREATLY appreciated. Thank you!

The OGI website is down, but Ramat Gan is closed for the weekend anyway.

Do you have contact information for Mitch Gilbert? He was OGI Systems contact in USA last I knew. If you don't have his number you can Google Mitchell-Gilbert-OGI and try to reach him via LinkedIn or FB.
 
See if they have an updated software package available for download on their website.

woops my bad.
Then I would try it again every so often to see if it comes back up before support is available again.
Updating the software often fixes issues with any computer connected device.
The other common problem is the cables that connect the devices to the computer so that's worth a check also.

I'll keep trying the website. I've tried reseating the cables a few times, but it didn't work. I believe the software may just be configured incorrectly? Since it was working fine before the computer crashed.

It is possible.
What kind of cable does it have?
If its usb try a different usb port.
USB ports are shared at the controller level, usual in pairs and 2 devices connected to the same pair can sometimes cause issues.
 
I'm not familiar with OGI specifics, but for some time Sarine (nee Sarin) could not operate if the computer had an AMD chip. You had to use a computer with Intel inside.

It's what appears to be parallel, but I'm wonder if I could use a parallel to USB converter?

Intel processor. I mean, literally nothing changed in the computer except that the software needed to be re-installed.
 
NFriend, I am interested in hearing if you have figured this out yet.
I am facing a simular problem with my OGI
