Any suggestions to avoid custom jewelry?

With the help of Pricescope I was able to find a perfect engagement ring for my then girlfriend. We are now looking at wedding bands and hers has a matching band so no problem.

I could use some of your help to find my own wedding ring. I purchased a beautiful ring from a fellow PSer but my fiancé ended up going with the matching band so now the baguettes from this ring will be going into mine.

My inspiration picture is on the bottom and so far I have found only 1 setting that’s come close:

The problem is that this setting is 3.5mm wide and I would need it to be at least 6mm wide. In order to make that happen they want me to pay $200 for a CAD rendering plus $200 more to set my existing stones into it. With the setting price of $650 (10k w/g) it becomes the same price as David Klass and at that point I’d rather have him do it.

Am I over thinking this? Should I just send the ring in to DK and be done with it. I should add that the local jeweler I linked would offer free cleanings and lifetime re-plating.

The ring needs to be custom made to fit your stones, and I'd have DK make it. I'd never make a wedding band or any fine jewelry in 10k gold. 14k would be the minimum. DK may be able to use the 14k Stuller X-1 alloy that you don't have to have plated. Ask about that.
