Hello my fellow PSers, I am asking this question for a friend of mine. she is planning to custom-make some jewelries for her wedding. they will be pretty big and bold pieces so they will be really expensive if made with diamond and precious medals. I wonder if any of you know any PS vendors that do sterling silver and diamond? or is there any non-PS vendors you would recommend? thanks a lot in advance!

There is a reason that diamonds are not set in silver. It isn't a good metal if you want to you know, keep the diamonds set.

Your friend should consider a scaled back simplier setting in white gold.

In some vintage jewelry you may find rose cuts bezel set in silver with the stones flat side 'foil wrapped' in silver. My aunt has such a ring. But the settings for the smaller stones and the ring as a whole are still gold and platinum in these pieces.

She needs to look at Berricle and Nadri if she wants a bold look for her wedding. You do not buy diamonds (which is the more significant expense) and set in sterling. That makes no sense whatsoever.
