Bvlgari is all about the serpent. Personally snakes terrify me so I don't have their items but I know ppl love them.

I had been thinking about this bracelet A lot for 2 months and had a pair of earrings my mom didn’t want and said to sell them so I put it towards the bracelet. It’s 18kt and enamel with rose cut diamonds. I can’t figure out if it’s from the 1800’s or the 60’s. 4505FA47-D900-4500-9830-69090922492F.jpeg 1A956338-5B97-4D50-854A-EDA3729F05A2.jpeg 9C834992-6510-46B9-A8CD-0274BB841237.jpeg 52E3A756-5364-4100-B666-CE2FF57FF3D4.jpeg 18B17C9E-6BEC-47BA-9213-4EF817D0BAAF.jpeg

If anyone has seen one similar Please do share, I want to try to figure out it’s age. It’s not hallmark, but someone faintly fancy script 18 kt.

The lovely @PreRaphaelite sold me this cutie, 18K with sapphires(?) haven't been able to verify the stones but I heart this guy. Top pic is mine, bottom is hers.

Sigh....I want to join so badly alas I've never found my perfect gold snake, so perfect I'd be willing to dish the money out for it!
Either that or every snake piece that I want is like $20,000!

I love snakes and feel close to them. Snakes, cats, & horses I connect to so deeply. But there's something so special, symbolic, & ancient about the snake. I can't quite put my finger on it....

But I think it has to do with the presumed evil nature of the snake yet it's not true. The snake is of the earth and elements and I see it as representing something so human and cyclical in nature.

Serpent lover here. Not an antique but I designed this double serpent ring with Alex Park to hold an antique stone! The old miner is included but it would be hard for me to love it more.

Thank you so much! The inspiration was this antique double-makara (mythological water-dragon) bracelet from Madras in India. You can see each makara is holding one side of a magical jewel in its mouth.

Double-headed serpent bracelets are common in the near east, both in ancient cultures and recent traditional ones. They were brought by the Mongolian invasion. Here are some enamel examples from Sindh, Pakistan:

This is a stylized Pashtun or Baloch snake bracelet from Pakistan or Afghanistan:

And finally you can see double-headed snakes on the band of this Armenian necklace from Van, Turkey:

I can't stop thinking about this beautiful ring of yours...

Could I trouble you for a few more handshots that are a little farther away? I'd love to admire her in her entirety....

 I am loving the serpent thread. My little spacer one isn't in the same league as the amazing rings on this thread, but I just love serpent jewelry. I hope to find a slightly thicker ouroboros band to wear on its own because I love it so!
If I won the lottery I would buy something like these Laliques to start a collection! Though admittedly they seem a little too long to be really wearable. Don't care, snakes!

I love the detailing in all these pieces. Each little curl of their bodies, tuck of their chin, etc. creates a totally different vibe. Sorry for my ignorance, but is there a backstory or special meaning to serpent pieces? I'm always up for a fun history lesson!

I read an article that said the snake signifies primal energy, life force, healing, transition, and rebirth. I love that concept.
