Any decent cushion halo semi-mount BELOW $3k

So we have a $10k budget and were hoping to end up with a 1.2-1.5ct cushion cut halo, similar to the HW design. After researching settings we've found we would need to spend close to $3500-5000 for CAD/CAM or Hand Forged options. This eats up 35-50% of our original budget leaving only $5-6k for our center stone.

While we are prepared to continue down this route, I can't help but wonder if we may be able to find a comparable cushion halo semi-mount which may leave a little more room for the center stone?

I've searched around the site and found some older posts citing settings from adiamor and the like but was just wondering if there is a current semi-mount which may be popular with the PSers offering the design we're after with decent finish quality (for a semi-mount).

Thanks!

Apologies as I don't have photos of this, but, I have a cushion halo that is a stock setting from Adwar and I quite like it. The setting is 25201L from Adwar...in platinum I want to say it was around $1600? I would have to unearth my receipt.. that price included the matching band.

Sure tons of places due that setting. I think the best bang for your budget is ERD where it is closer to 2.5-3k for the CAD version. But if you want a cheaper version check out IDJ or JA they both have something closer to 1k. However expect to see big differences in quality as the price goes down. The cheaper options are still really nice just don't expect the same quality you would get with a custom ring.

Good advice. I'd call ERD myself first. Then IDJ. IDJ has one bench that does AMAZING pave work. Cellentani has a halo by them... to die for (she set a purple stone in it and I covet the whole thing).

Yeah, I was surprised at how much the price of settings have gone up. I was shopping around for a 14k custom 5 stone setting, no diamonds, no pave, just the gold, and the quotes from PS vendors ranged from 1500-2500, oof. I got a lower quote from a local jeweler I work know who also uses CAD so right now I'm planning to go that route. I found IDJ to have the lowest quotes among the PS vendors, that being said, you can also look into local jewelers if you live in a big city, there's some surprising talent near home sometimes.

I also second the suggestion of looking at stock settings, they are MUCH less expensive than going custom, but can still look quite gorgeous. Have you looked around at local jewelry stores that carry stock items? I can give you an idea of the quality of those companies.

Although, if you go with IDJ or ERD, they may be able to give you a better price for diamond + setting if you buy both from them. It's highly possible that if you go to them with the overall budget, they'll find you a stone and setting to fit what you can spend.
