Another Spacer Question

I was reading the other thread regarding ring spacers, and posters were mentioning their preference for uniform height between rings. I have a plain 2 mm wedding band that matches fairly closely the width and height of my solitaire (also plain shank). I (eventually) want to get a seven stone ring and use the 2mm as a spacer to keep the diamonds from eating the prongs of my solitaire, but I'm wondering if the height difference will make the spacer useless. Will they still knock into each other? Will it look odd? Thanks for your help.

I'd want the diamond band set very low so it would be close to the same height as the other rings. It won't look good when you look down and it sticks out farther on the sides than the other rings do.

This is a link to the ring I want.
I've also included the profile of my set. It's a basic peghead so it sits up pretty high. I think the stone is a bit over 7mm? high. The band isn't tall at all so there will be a height difference. I wonder if it's possible for Whiteflash to set them lower. I haven't investigated it too much yet since I'm not quite ready to purchase, but I've been a bit worried that we'll save up for this purchase and regret how they look together.

I mean set the diamonds in the seven stone lower.
