Completely understood! I went way back when and found your reset thread. The pendant is very classic, but I understand the desire to change. I am sure that you will eventually create a lovely new home for your heirloom diamond! :)

Just wondering: your first example has bigger stones around the center and I think that will look fabulous on you. But you already have great stones and hopefully Caysie can create a ring with what you already have

Hi Acinom! Yes, so we are discussing options. I just lowered price on my cluster ring. If it doesn't sell soon, we will reset into this style. I just love it. Caysie told me it would add about 3 mm to the size, so that's great. I'm also considering making this with rose cuts and yellow gold if my ring does sell.

This is such a different direction from your Emilya. Do you ever miss that style?

I don't because I really fell in love with the old cuts. But my MRB was not an ideal cut, so I don't miss it. Perhaps if I had an ACA in an emilya or a nice white tranny- probably. LOL!
 
So if my ring doesn't sell in the next month, I'm shipping it off to caysie. The plan is to use the OEC melee and make a norah eternity band in yellow gold:

And use my .93 OEC as the center stone in this ring, creating it exactly as it's shown with custom rose cut diamonds in the halo:

The rosie's will be about 3.5 mm and will give me excellent finger coverage. Kind of hoping it doesn't sell because this combo or rings will be to DIE for. :love::love::love::love:
 
@soxfan your reset ideas are lovely! I am sure that regardless if the ring sells or not, you will soon have some awesome new projects in the works :)

If the ring doesn’t sell and you end up resetting the diamonds, can you please keep me in mind for the setting only sans the diamonds :halo:

Soxfan I love your ring as is, but it definitely could have more finger coverage so I totally support your ideas, I always do lol. The new style is beautiful! I am going to do a cluster ring similar to your first version with a stone I just found on ebay, I’ve had a saved picture for a long time of it. I’m trying to see if I like the ebay stone enough to spend the money on a beautiful Caysie setting :),

This thread breaks my heart!! :(( I've been admiring your ring on LAD for a while now, and my heart breaks a little every time I see you talk about dismantling it. I so wish I could buy it, but it's more than double the price range I'm considering for a RHR. I so hope someone buys it as is. I honestly don't think the alternate settings you're considering will make it worth the cost and effort to remake the setting. It's wonderful just as it is.
