First I would like to say help and thanks to all those who have spent the time posting so those of us newbies can get some education. I've been reading the forums and lurking here for a while but this is my first posting. Been looking to buy an e-ring for a while now and just saw the sale at BGD so figured might as well try and take advantage of it.

I had been looking for a stone around 1ct in the G-I range and excellent cut and clarity. She likes the idea of fluorescence and after reading here it seems like this would be a perfect to help save some $$. After browsing around I saw the BVD Blues and along with their policies I've put them in the front running. It seems like from what I've read here that if you get a diamond from one of the select lines, odds are it will be a good stone and not need too much scrutinizing, its that accurate?

Budget for stone isn't huge, I initially thought I could keep it <5k or so but looks like I need to be around 6k to get what I think will be nice.

Now that I've droned on I would like to hear opinions on these stones (or if you have suggestions).

You are in good hands with any of the branded BGD choices. My question is how you plan to set it, and whether your GF is color sensitive. If she's color sensitive and you want a white gold solitaire style (for example), then I'd say go with the I color.
 
Unfortunately I'm not sure as to her color sensitivity and we haven't looked at stones in person together, also her skin tone isn't pale, maybe described as tanned if that matters. I do know I'm planning on a white gold setting, probably a pave. FWIW she has a job where her hands are active (interpreter) if anyone has input based on that as well

Just remember to inquire about lower color side stones for the 3 stone, or pave’. You don’t want your center stone to show more body color & throw off the aesthetic.
I think if you go with the I, your prongs should be in rose gold or platinum, and the rest in a white metal (plat or wg). That will help with the body color, as well.
I’m a fan of the 3 stone, myself. Just make sure the side stones are within the same color range as your center. ;)2
 
I lean toward the i as well unless you think she can Mind handle a J, then I would get the biggest.

But an I next to a j— you probably couldn’t tell the difference.

Email Lesley or Emily and they could probably do hand shots for you.

I’m currently working with them on a custom ring— been very painless.

They have H and I side stone colors! I bought 3 h and 3 I. I don’t remember seeing J.
 
I’m a fan of the 1.138 J with SBF with the I VS2 behind it.
 
My eye immediately went to the inclusions near the center of the 1.138. Personally, that one would be out for me. Of the remaining two, based in just the video, the I color stands out to me a bit more, in a good way.

I personally don't see much of a perceivable difference between the I and J, do I have a bad eye. I know that I-J isn't a big stretch on the scale, so maybe I should try and see them side by side but that's a moot point since they wont be presented that way.... I'll email and see if they have any real life shots they can send me
Obviously I want the best bang for my buck, and it seems like .25mm difference (1.024 I vs 1.46 J) would be larger to the eye but not sure if that is worth the color trade off....decisions...decisions

Good catch on noticing the inclusions...I was thinking it was dust at first until I double checked the report. Would something like that be noticeable IRL under normal circumstances?

BGD has an eye clean video which is a reduced size version of the 40x magnification vídeo that they use for Brilliance and Sparkle. If you can’t notice the inclusion in that video, there’s a fairly good chance that you won’t be able to notice it. We are spoilt as consumers where vendors provide such magnified imagery and video for us to use. In a B&M, you’d be having to use a 10x loupe to try and find them.

The inclusion in the 1.138 to my eyes is a white crystal (for me, that’s not a deal breaker; if the crystal was black, that’s a different story).

IRL without any magnification at standard viewing distances (a foot away), unless you are very eagle eyed, you are unlikely to notice it.
 
I would recommend that she at least try on some styles. It's so hard to choose without any input about her preferences, and you don't want to pick something she doesn't 100% love.
 
I think the parade setting is really pretty. I do not recommend lower J - color pear side stones. Lower colored pears tend to show more color due to
their cut. Pears do not have as good light return as round brilliants but I'm sure BG will find a pair that match nicely.
 
As an aside, I *believe* (not 100%) that they are closed on Saturday. You may not get a reply until Monday.

Thank you, I had not considered the pears presenting the color differently due to the shape, I wouldn't want the side stones to look off and detract from it overall. Pave is my initial preference, and from what I read here most people seem to like how they can add sparkle to the ring. I'll keep browsing around at styles but would really like to get the stone and setting at one vendor.

If you are looking at stones from super ideal vendors like BGD who send stones to AGS for grading, HCA is moot. Trust the advanced scope imagery instead to guide you on light performance.
