Anniversary Ring

hello all,
im so very new here and this is my first post. i apologise beforehand if it is long. while it is only October, i am planning ahead for Christmas (we leave for Denmark on 11 Dec for Christmas and i want to make sure my gift from my husband gets in on time for it to be under the tree).
so here goes, i have my eye on these 2 anniversary rings:

diamonds in Singapore (where i'm from and where we live) cost a lot and choices are limited. i have stumbled upon James Allen and am in love. i recently purchased their traditional 2mm wedding band - delivery was a quick and i love the simplicity of the band.

this is my current set:
2mm James Allen plain band
3 stone e-ring (1.35 tcw, color E VS1-VS2)


the James Allen band is approx 1.2mm in height and my 3 stone ring is 4.7mm in height. i would like to wear a 1.5mm-1.8mm half eternity band in between the two (height no more than 1.5mm).

i can't decide which of the two would be the best fit (in terms of height) and am hoping someone here may have a real life pic of either ring so that i can better decide.

i have until 12 Nov to decide and purchase it so would really love any advice on either band (or on other sites which ship internationally and priced decently - below SGD1k or USD750 for a half eternity band).

You have a beautiful set! That JA band looks great. Of your two options, I like the U pave better. It looks clean and lovely, will suit your set well.

About expensive diamonds in Singapore, have you been to JannPaul? I have not used them myself as I’m not that into diamonds, but I hear that’s the go to place for affordable ideal cut diamonds.

im also leaning towards the U pave, just got to try rings of similar height.
I have been to House of Hung (part of the JannPaul family) to check out solitaires but not eternity bands. Perhaps I would have to make a trip out to town to try on a few bands. Thanks for throwing out JP cos that slippes my radar altogether.

Thank you. the more i look at it the more im swayed to it. ive been hitting some jewellers close by to try out bands today not the thinnest is a 2mm half eternity platinum band which throws my centre stone off colour completely. sad

I have both of the JA bands you're considering. I'm not near my jewelry box, so can't help with pics, but here's what I can recall -- the .11 ring is super delicate. It sits low, the stones are tiny glimmers, and the diamonds barely cover the top of my size 5.5 finger. It's not even close to a half-eternity. The flush fit is less chunky in person. The stones cover more of my finger and I think it's a little taller. You may want to take a look at the .15 thin set pave, which is my favorite of the bunch that I own.

the other ring you mentioned is also on my wishlist. i am trying to aim for low profile so it doesnt really stick out when worn with the plain band (cos my ering is 4.7mm in height).

your rings are all so beautiful!
this is is more than enough for me to get an idea of how it sits. while JA has 360 view they miss out on real life perspective of their bands which makes it difficult to gauge. thanks so very much

I wanted a 5 stone diamond band with 1.50 ctw and she made one for me (F, VS2) in a U prong setting which I absolutely love as the low profile (which in no way diminishes the sparkle and beauty of the diamonds) makes me feel comfortable wearing it every day.

Good luck - working with Aby is very easy. She recently made a beautiful tennis bracelet for me and it's exquisite. Be sure to tell her that you want excellent/ideal stones and that you expect perfection. She can deliver!

Wow that is amazing and sparkly. I have decided on a princess cut half eternity channel set band but am awaiting to place my order. gonna run around town this week to try on various widths and get sized.i will ask for excellent/ideal stones. thanks for the tip!

so an update on what i settled on....
1) i got the JA U Pave band just cos it went on sale and it sits on my right hand and,

2) i ended up with a 1.5mm single prong half eternity from a store on Etsy called Master Jeweler. im super obsessed with it! its sturdy but delicate. i had to have my hubs lock it away otherwise i willl be wearing it everyday before xmas! it was not pricey (including shipping) and the diamonds sparkle so much when it hits the light. cant wait to wear it in less than a month!!!!
