Anniversary Ring to go with Solitaire & 5-Stone Ring

I'm coming up on my 10th wedding anniversary and I'm looking into anniversary ring options. I have a 1.20 ct solitaire engagement ring and a 1 ctw 5-stone wedding ring. I'm looking for something to wear in between them, sort of as a spacer, but I would like diamonds on it. I'm thinking of having my solitaire set slightly higher or with an entirely different setting because my 5-stone rubs up against it and has worn the prongs away a bit on the solitaire ring. I do not want a plain band/spacer and I do not want to wear the anniversary ring as a right hand ring.

Does anyone have suggestions for options that would look good with my set? Does anyone have something similar they could post pictures of?

Maybe a channel set or bead set band? They should have metal edges so they wouldn't rub against you engagement ring. Not sure what the five stone would do to the edges of another band. This is an age old dilemma - beautiful look, but those girdles on the five stone band definitely saw into metal or other diamonds.

Ultimately, though, I think you will just have to go out and about and try on different rings. It would need to somewhat match the height of your current wedding band so it would show up - if you know what I mean.

Yes, I was thinking that too - the 5-stone would likely cause damage to whatever is next to it, so then I was wondering if there is a better setting for the 5-stone ring? Most of what I see online are shared prong like mine. I'm open to suggestions.

I'm going to see my jeweler next week - just looking into options to think about before I go.

Well, you could reset the five stone into a bezel setting. However, I personally prefer the shared prong setting. Have you tried a very thin spacer? Sometimes they are not as intrusive as people think. Your set is beautiful!
 
Have you looked at this thread? Lots of pretty bands. Might give you some good stacking ideas!

Couple ideas…

- Channel/bead

- You could get whatever band you want and get super thin rope or bead spacers that have the effect of making your band look like it has milgrain edges. So they don’t look like spacers, they look like metalwork on your band. I do this but couldn’t find a photo.

- Same with mixed metals… it doesn’t look like spacers, it looks like a two-tone ring… I do this too but can’t find a photo.
 
@Sophie6 If I'm not mistaken, that looks like a bead set band. Very similar look to a channel set band, but held in
with small beads of metal. Very pretty and works great for a "spacer" type band!

Yes, I’m sorry. Thank you for the correction. That’s what my jeweler told me also. I purchased it preloved and they described it as channel set.
