#TBT Anniversary Asscher

My DH commissioned GOG to help find me an asscher for our anniversary. We called in 2 stones, one with 3 crown and pavilion steps, and another with 5 pavilion and 4 crown steps. I wasn''t sure about the extra facets in a smaller stone but the people at GOG said it was beautiful and quite a bit brighter than the other stone we had brought in so we went ahead and bought it and as soon as I opened the box I was in love. The stone is now sitting at the jeweler while his new home is being made and to calm my withdrawal I thought I would post some pictures.

This picture shows the stones fairly heavy rear end pretty well. It's definitely hiding a lot of carat weight and it's obvious in the spread, but the stone was priced accordingly.

I actually dont know how it will be set. When we got engaged I already had a stone and setting in mind, so I pretty much just pointed and said "buy me this one", so DH is designing this one on his own. My only request was to leave the gallery open so I could see the side of the stone better. We had been looking at halos before I got the stone, but I think it would be too much for this particular asscher. So I''ll find out in a few weeks. And then there will be another onslaught of pictures
