My SO just inherited a beautiful 1.25 RB, which is lovely. We were having a hard time find a stone we both loved. This stone is very sentimental to him but we both realized the issue. We had been looking at square cuts, asschers and emerald cut diamond. Now we have this RB and intend to use it. What we are now trying to find is a setting that will make the stone look square/hexagon/octagon. We found a beautiful Ritani but are still unsure. Has anyone ever seen a round stone that looked square yet had a plain halo much like this James Allen Asscher Bezel Set Ring.

Is this idea something that is possible? The other idea is to make a grey diamond or sapphire halo. Thoughts? Please
