Hi everyone,
I am newly engaged and found your site after I had bought my stone and had the setting made. It turned out awful and after reading opinions online have decided to pop out the stone and send back the setting. Its in a bezel set and I''''m worried that it can be damaged when removing it. Is it possible to insure it without someone looking at it.. Its GIA certified (1.12 round brilliant [H&A] G color IF clarity EX cut EX polish EX sym)
Is removing a stone from a bezel setting risky or dangerous in any way.
Does anyone recommend an affordable and reliable insurance.
Any help will be appreciated. I hope I posted this in the right place.
Oh someone told me once a stone is mounted in a setting it will no longer grade IF.. is this true? How can a mounting/setting damage the inside of a stone when set correctly.
