Advise on a diamond ring

Hi All

Im just after a bit of advise. I have put a diamond on hold and am wondering what you guys think?

Weight: 0.90cts.
Colour: F
Clarity: VVS1
Polish Excellent
Symmetry Excellent
Fluorescence: None
Certificated by: GIA
Size: 5.28x5.19x3.87 mm

With a ring on DiamondGeezer it comes to £4150.

Any help would be great

Do you have a picture of the diamond? What kind of setting is it going in? How much is the diamond only?

Im not sure of the actual price of the diamond as diamondgeezer just quote for the whole ring. I would guess its about £3200-3400 and around £750 for the setting.

To buy a diamond, you need a picture at least. Sometimes this is good enough, but an ASET image is also helpful, or an AGS 0 Ideal cut grade.

Pricing, I think you can do a little better, IMO it is expensive for what I can only assume is an average cut princess. You can go down in clarity a lot, VS2/SI1 is a happy medium for most people.

Cut quality is very important. There are no pictures of diamonds on that site.

Plus tax and import duty (im in UK) it would probably work out the same. The diamond i posted is VVS1 so would that mean the better option? Plus its a platinum ring.

You need a picture, ask for one. A better cut Vs2 is preferable to a lesser cut vvs2

You cant buy a fancy cut stone (a princess) without images. The cut of the stone is
Makes all the difference. Vvs1 just means you wont be able to see any flaws in it.
it doesn't mean that its a well cut, pretty stone.

Have you seen the stone? Do you know what to look for?

I have requested a picture but no i dont really know what to look for. Im going on the Sparkle factor, polish and symmetry which according to the customer support guy relates to how well it is cut?
