Advice on these two diamonds (1.26 carat and 1.27 carat)

Hi all,

Can I please get your opinions on these two diamonds? Which one is better? Also open to other suggestions.

1. GIA Excellent, 1.26 carat, G VS2.

Depth: 62.4%
Table: 56%
Crown Angle: 35%
Star Length: 50%
Pavilion Angle: 41%
Crown Height: 15.5%
Lower Half: 80%
Girdle: Medium, Faceted, 3.5%

Did you run the numbers through the HCA calculator under the Tools drop down above? The angles aren’t complimentary on either stone and the second one is too deep at 63%, so I susp they won’t score well (2 or less is a passing score, sometimes up to 2.5 can be ok).

Yep, I did! 1.26 scored a 2.2 and the 1.27 scored a 2.6. Not an ideal HCA score?

The numbers are outside of what I would look for but they might be nice looking diamonds, can you see them live? There is a difference between “close to“ and super ideal but it comes at a cost. I think both of these are better cut than the majority of what the mass market is going to find, but you can find better performance with tighter ideal specs.
