Advice on buying an engagement ring

I couldn't speak as to who to use, but working online is easy. If you're going the custom route the artist will give you CAD renderings of the design. You then get to say what you like, what you don't and what you want changed. You go through this process a few times until you have the design that speaks to you and they create ring for you.

Poke around for some names, I'm sure some of the others can suggest some places to look too. Good luck!

Also, if you want to still make your "timeline", have you thought about proposing with the stone and letting your girl pick the setting? This might be fun because you can still wow her with a gorgeous stone, and then she has the freedom to choose/design a setting that perfectly fits her style and lifestyle...

That said, there's also definitely a huge "wow" factor to having your hubby put in the time and love to create a setting himself!
