I am looking for help evaluating this diamond. I most recently had my diamond ring stolen and my estate specialist called me with this and I have no idea and what to understand it more before I go see it and get dazzled and start to get emotional.

Table: 58%
Depth: 64.8%

GIA (yes)

No plot on GIA as I retreived the report: Lists: Cloud, Cyrstal, Needle, Indented Natural, Natural

with fancy cut stones (anything other than a round) you absolutely cannot go by numbers on the report! Do you have a picture? Have you at least seen a picture? What's your budget?

Numbers don't tell you anything. You need pics. And a video if you can get one, ideally.

You will need to speak with your vendor and ask about the bow tie effect and how prominent it is.

An ASET will help you to visualize how the stone might look, but only if you have seen enough of them to "translate" the ASET in your mind to what the diamond probably looks like live. That will give you an approximation once you have done it a few thousand times, but still, to know exactly what the diamond looks like you will need to see the diamond and see how it fits YOUR desires. (Hey, I once had a client tell me the ovals I brought in for her to look at were awful as they did not have the beautiful bow ties that "quality" ovals had. She had been trained by an unscrupulous jeweler to want the biggest baddest bows tie you could find. Sigh)

You must buy the diamond, not the paper. This is especially true with fancy cut diamonds as there are no easy charts to tell you how one might look.
