Advice on a princess cut

Okay I know that this probably is a bad idea but I found a diamond I think. Its NOT CERTIFIED.
Its a VS2, E, .85 carets. The local shop wants $3035 for that diamond. They said they would run their own tests to verify the ratings.

This is not a diamond that they had in inventory so they got the diamond from one of their sources. I would feel better with a certified diamond.

What do you guys think
 
it's not like it costs that much to send it to GIA or AGS.

I think they are asking too much for something that might be an E VS2.
 
They said they could send the vendor they buy from would send it in to get an EGL cert for $75. I don''t know how i feel about EGL.

Any advices?
 
i really need opinions soon. I have to make a decision by monday... Any suggestion will help
 
Is "A Cut Above" from whiteflash really worth the extra money?
 
yea i know about those. Goodoldgold got those for me to see. They are also getting a 2 more monday. Only thing with shopping with goodoldgold is I have to pay tax because I am in NYS

Depending how the other two they get back I will be making up my mind soon
