DH and I took a trip to the PNW last week, and I decided to stop into Alchemy Jewelers to see some EW pieces in person. Like everyone says, you really can't grasp how delicate and fine the craftsmanship is until you see it in person (and with a loupe!). We had a wonderful time with our sales associate, Sander, who literally let me try on everything in the store and was a saint while I decided WHICH piece I would be bringing home. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area. Another plus is Oregon doesn't charge sales tax - so it feels like bargain, at least until you have to claim it on your tax return.

I finally decided on the Viola band (though this is the floor model which is about a size too small for my very pregnant hands, so I ordered a larger size and I'm waiting SO impatiently). It's A DREAM in person!

I fell in love with this garnet.

It photographed a bit darker than my eyes saw it - it was almost pad like in person.

The details. The milgrain was so fine it was barely visible!!!

These OMC studs were amazing - I think he said these are the new Anna setting IIRC.

And this band, which was my other front runner I was deciding between...

Sadly, I didn't get any pics of the Margot I saw, or the Thea, or the other bands. I was so distracted. Later I moved on to the other cases and FELL IN LOVE with a new designer Zaffiro. These rings were out of this world.

I believe he said the index ring was a sapphire and the 2 smaller pinks were spinel. The navette-ish shape one was my absolute fave. I also asked if the designer works with outside stones and they do.

What fabulous pretties! And I love the band you decided to buy - it's very classic.

Please show us pictures when it arrives & good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

The lighting here is so bad - the one on the right is mine, but this freeform bracelet with sapphires on the left was unreal in person. If anyone is looking for a striking sapphire bracelet - this is IT. There were also matching earrings and a pendant.

Love this store I went in one day and tried on all the erika winters. But was actually drawn to the Tod Reed. Wish I could have left with the bezel set heart.

Hi what beautiful pieces! thank you for sharing and your new band is beautiful. Sending you dust for fast, easy safe delivery for your child. I had 2 csects and never saw a natural birth till my granddaughter this past April and it is a lot of work, either way, healthy baby is the most important thing... maybe after the birth you could post a few pix of your new child just blurry, but I'm a sucker grandma for pix of babies. Again, best wishes all around.
