Add a Halo or another band to my three stone ring?

So my husband and I are trying to decide which is a better upgrade for my wedding set. I love the look of a halo, but not sure is re-setting would work with my ring. We have also looked at getting an anniversary band that is identical to my wedding band. Not sure which would look better. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

I think another band of the same width would overwhelm your center stone. I would take it to a jeweler and see what your options are in terms of adding a halo to the existing setting or just looking to reset your center stone altogether.

+1

I would add another band but it doesn't seem like you will have the finger room.

The set may look better, but retain the same overall look, if you replace the diamond shank in the engagement ring with a plain shank.
Then add another diamond band as an eternity to match your wedder. That might help your main stone 'pop' more.

I think adding another wedding band would make your ER look more lost and busy. I like the idea of your 3 stones on a thinner plain shank with a matching plain band. Then you diamonds would POP much more IMO. Or just reset to a three stone halo. Reworking your existing ring into a halo would probably be more than its worth. Reset is easier and then you could pop a colored stone into your current three stone and have an RHR. So many possibilities!

Trying on a bunch of bands, even at a store you are not actually going to purchase at (too $$, or too cheap) is going to at least give you some idea and also answer the question about whether you have enough finger real estate for a second, wide band.
