ACA stud upgrade

Turns out I bought my previous 0.3 ct studs (0.6 ctw) when diamond prices were highest in 2014! So my upgrade to 0.55 & 0.54 studs wasn't as big a jump financially as it might have been - happy new year to me

Love the size. Returning previous pair from Australia went smoothly. Great customer service from Whiteflash.

I colour VS2 ACA 0.55 & 0.54 - in an 8 prong!

I’m also from Australia and I’m also considering diamond studs from Whiteflash. It’s good to know the upgrade progress went smoothly. I was concerned that not being based in the US that upgrades might not be as convenient. Do you mind sharing the details on the process of sending back your old studs? Did you have to insure them and post back at your expense?

@Sparkles88 - I contacted the person at WF who helped me previously (Brittany) & said I'd like to upgrade. Selected & reserved new pair & made transfer amount for the difference in price plus one-way shipping (not the cost of return shipping). Whiteflash create an international return label via Fedex & then you call and have Fedex pick up (can request that they bring the fedex box). This has tracking. When they receive the return studs - they start making the new pair! I got lots of emails through the process. Really low stress process from my perspective.

Thank you for replying, I’m glad the process went so smoothly and stress free. I’ve thought about purchasing from WF but was deterred as I didn’t think it would be viable due being in a different country and the thought of sending back something of value made me nervous, but looks like WF helps you with the process if you decide to upgrade.

Enjoy wearing your beautiful studs, I recently tried on a pair at Tiffany’s just to an idea of sizing and I think anywhere from 1-1.2 tcw should be perfect for me. Thanks for sharing then photos it gives me a very good perspective of what the size looks like.

Hi Mondayschild - so sorry to revive an old thread! I'm in a similar boat to you and would like to upgrade my existing diamond (on my e-ring) to a WF ACA (but old stone not WF one). Just wondered how and with whom you insured your diamond studs to send over to the USA? My understanding is local insurers (e.g. my home insurer) won't cover international shipping like this situation. Any help would be appreciated

I'm an Aussie you can send something via Australia Post (I use the express prepaid International satchels small size) and insure up to $1999.00 without creating drama you can also insure things for over that (I think up to either $5000 or $10 000UAUD) but the person or company on the other end might then have to pay taxes and duties to get it, because it is a return they should in theory be able to apply to get those fees refunded.

Perhaps remiss of me - but WF organise the postage via FedEx with tracking & I just did it that way. Didn't organise specific insurance.
