As many of you already know, I spent almost a full year working on Clover (my AVC diamond ring with an emerald halo). It was a very long and arduous project for me but, in the end, I was so lucky because it turned out even better than my wildest imaginations. Still, towards the end of that project, I decided I needed a little pick me up...an easy ring project. I’ve had these bright green tsavorite melee sitting around for a little while. They are insanely bright. Like radioactive levels of bright. I loved them like crazy but I needed something bright enough to hold it’s own with them. I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me right away, but I had purchased a bright pink tourmaline from @Desertrose and once I put them together I knew it was a match made in heaven. It was never meant to be a Christmas ring but it arrived on Christmas Eve so...it kinda feels like it should be.
Details:
1.86ct Mozambique pink tourmaline (7.8mm)
2.5mm tsavorite melee
Size 4.75 ring
Here was the initial layout.
The tsavs.
The setting
Here’s the final product. This is the color and brightness that I see almost all the time.
