Garrard was appointed the first official crown jeweler in 1843 by Queen Victoria. They are the longest serving jeweler in the world. Never did I think I would own a piece from Garrard, but fate had other plans.
A most delightful 57 point diamond G color VS1 clarity in a six prong knife edge platinum setting, simple but elegant. The diamond is their branded Eternal cut with 81 facets that come together to form a star in the center. The ring is stamped G. & Co and the diamond girdle laser inscribed Garrard, I found it with a macro lens but had a hard time getting a clear photo of it.
Along with the ring came its original red leather box, booklet with pictures, Garrard valuation and GIA report. It was a treat to unbox and unwrap, the presentation is beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. This is a pre-owned piece but impeccably cared for and preserved, I’m still in awe of how pristine everything is.
In terms of performance it is very white and bright and tends to look a bit transitional in some lighting. It is mostly cloudy today so I literally chased the sun all over the house and yard and only managed one bitty fire shot.
I hope you enjoy the pictures!
