7 stone band size - substantial enough?

Prior to my wedding I decided that I wanted a plain diamond band to wear alone. I hated the idea of wearing two rings on one finger, and I loved the delicate look of my antique e ring alone. So based off pictures I liked here, I got a .75 7 stone. I actually like how it looks with my e-ring, which is unexpected, but I question whether it looks substantial enough to seem like it's meant to be alone. I think I've gone diamond crazy or something. I know it looks fine alone, but I wondering if it looks ideal, like I intended it to wear alone from the start.

If it looks fine, I definitely don't want to go bigger, because then I know for sure it won't go with my e-ring.

Here's another pic at a different angle.

It's beautiful and elegant, all by itself.

I think its perfect! I am so much a fan of the more delicate look, even if it means less ctw.

You can always go on try on some larger sizes and see what you think. Looking never hurts ;)

It looks substantial and really pretty on your hand! I think it looks beautiful as a stand alone band. I wouldn't change it if you like it with your ring and want to wear it that way occasionally as an option.

I am wondering if it's just part of DSS because I have the same questions about my 7 stone. It looks correctly proportioned if I wear it with one of my rings, but alone I feel it could be slightly larger. :wall:

I think your ring looks beautiful on its own! May I ask your ring size? I've been thinking about getting a seven-stone band, and I love the look of your band on your hand. Very elegant.

Of course, you have to decide what's right for you and the look you'd be going for on the days you want to wear just the band.

Thank you! My e-ring is a "5 scant" and this 7-stone band is a 5. It is slightly big on me, and it pushes my e-ring up to a skinnier part of my finger, causing it to spin. So, I guess I am a 4.75, if that was a real thing.

That being said, although I have very thin fingers, they are quite long, nearly as long as most men I know. So, I think a .75 7-stone band on a size 5 finger with smaller hands might look way thicker/blingier than mine does. I have more than full coverage horizontally, but my long fingers are what is making me wish it was a tiny bit wider.

More room for stacking!

I definitely love that I have the option to wear them together occasionally. I thought there would be no way in hell that I could before I actually had this ring, and now honestly, I wonder if it's part of my "diamond craziness" that I think they look good together. I definitely wouldn't say this bad is ideally proportioned to my e-ring, its definitely thicker, but for some reason I like it anyways. So I guess this is the ideal compromise, when I wear this alone I will think "hmm, this could be slightly bigger" and when I wear it with my e-ring I'll think "hmm, this could be slightly thinner."

I think it looks great. It can definitely stand on it's own. You do have very long fingers and that makes it look different on your hand. BUT as another PSer said you can stack more! =)

How about a photo of this with your e ring?? I bet they look nice together.

I think it looks perfect! Can you tell me where you got yours, it also looks low profile which I like? I would love a band with those same proportions and I am a size 5 finger so thanks for the pics.

I think it looks great! I actually have a .75 7 stone that I wear on a size 7.5 finger. I love it when I wear it with my engagement ring, but alone, I wish it was a smidge bigger. But bigger, and I think it would overtake my engagement ring. So for me, if I planned to wear it all alone, all the time, I would go bigger.

Isn't it funny how you thought you would never wear them together, but now enjoy the look? I had the exact same thought with mine too! I'm so glad you are enjoying the options of wearing with your ring or alone. I love pieces that you can wear different ways! :appl:

Here is a picture together. I'm sure most people would think that the band overpowers the e-ring, but I actually am liking them together a lot. Hopefully I haven't just gone crazy lol!!

Unfortunately, I don't think I will ever be a stacker, I didn't even want to wear the engagement ring with wedding ring initially. Maybe I'll change my mind in time though...who knows!

Thank you! I"m glad you think the proportions look good. I got it from WhiteFlash and I was so impressed with their customer service and how beautiful the ring is.

I think what's nice is that it can be worn with your ER or by itself

I definitely wouldn't want a larger one to wear with an e-ring, so I think that size is fine. I'd just buy a pair of bands to wear one above and below it when you don't wear the e-ring with it.

Thanks! I like it with your ering, it just works!

I like that size as a stand alone ring, it looks substantial enough for my taste and preference!!

I think it looks good w your ering - you have chosen well! But I think that if you do upgrade in size, the ering will appear lost (as in 'disproportionate')

Think we can get a close up??? Never too many bling pictures EVER on a PS thread! :naughty:

Thank you! I agree, I would never wear them together if it was bigger. Here are a few more pics. These are just phone pics, plus the two pro ones from WhiteFlash, so hopefully they aren't too terrible quality. It's hard to tell from the phone, so I'm adding 3, just in case.

Hope there aren't duplicates. Sorry for the image overload, just none of them are actually that clear.

Oh I think it looks great as a stand alone ring! The diamonds are over 10 points each, that's a substantial size. And I think it looks lovely with your ering too. And I'm sure it sparkles like mad

And oh, if you are going diamond crazy, don't worry, you're in the right place :D

Do you know a good place to get thin bands? I got some on Etsy before and they were so thin they were like wires, not jewelry.
