Hello
I bought a wonderful Congo tourmaline in pre loved from the lovely @jaqjaqjaq - captivated by the amazing cut of the stone.
I knew I wanted to create a pendant to be worn on my antique gold ball chain (like the very pricey ones from Jessica McCormack).
I worked with Gaetano Chiaveta a master jeweller in the UK and he has created a stunning piece for me.
I asked for some advice on orientation along the way with a pretty split response - and went in the end with my gut to set this as a more ‘shield like’ orientation.
I haven’t received it yet but here’s the finished piece on Tano’s instagram.
Hoping to receive it tomorrow and will update with my own shots.
Thanks for looking!

Hello, my wonderful PriceScope family!
I have a truly special Congo tourmaline that deserves to be set in a piece where it can shine. This is one of the prettiest and most unique tourmalines I have come across, featuring a stunning modified shield cut by Dan O’Neil. It weighs 7.95 carats and measures 16 x 10 x 7 mm.
This gem is incredibly clean and has been difficult to photograph because of how it plays with the light. In person, it is even more breathtaking. I can easily see it set in a striking yellow gold pendant, where its unique shape and brilliance would stand out beautifully...
