Hey guys I'm new on this, I'm looking to buy a diamond, I already did some research but I only got more confused about type IiaB, etc etc, can u help ,e to decide if this diamond is a good choice about quality? I want to buy the best option with that budget, a balance between carat, color and clarity all of that, what u think?

If looking at rounds, you can safely stay in the H colour group and as low as an eye clean SI1. However, cut is what makes the diamond sparkle. I see that you are considering an EGL stone. I recommend staying with GIA lab reports only.

How much are they asking for this stone? If you want balance and best bang for your buck, I would drop the color to G/H, look at
eye-clean SI1 stones (or VS2), and get the best cut you can. This stone is facing up ever so slightly smaller due to the depth.

I would encourage you to stick with GIA/AGS stones also.

Thanks for your help, they ask 5k for the one that I uploaded, I liked it because have the "hearts and arrows" note , no fluorescence , and D color,but really is Egl that bad? Their tests are trustable ?

If EGL's removal from RapNet isn't considered bad, I don't what else to say to dissuade you from buying a diamond with an EGL lab report. That EGL D colour is likely to be GIA G colour, so knowing that, does that make a difference to you?

Wow, i didn't know anything about that, then I'll keep looking a Gia diamond, I don't want to get a G diamond with a D certificate
