I really embarassed myself a while ago as I could not stop staring at the ring of an elegant lady sitting next to me. It was a Paraiba! Besides mine, I had never seen one in the 'wild'. Gorgeous!

My ring was inspired by an inspired version by Brian Gavin of the Yurman version. Later I found the WF version and then the original by Yurman.

I love your new ring Acinom. It's so modern looking with the beautiful red stone set NE, there's an almost industrial feel to it - a modern, engineering feat, elegantly executed, right there on your finger. Your last couple of rings have so made me fall in love with rose gold but I think it might well lend itself to your skin tone more than mine. I've got some rose gold earrings and I keep putting them on my finger to see. Enjoy your beautiful rings, they've certainly brought us a lot of pleasure.

Polished: I love love love white metals as well as RG. I mostly wear platinum and WG on a daily basis, so it always feels like a treat to wear RG. Would love to hear what you decide on a possible RG project.

junebug: thanks for chiming in and your kind words! The ring is actually made of RG. More PSers thought it was YG though so probably it's my photography . I so enjoy wearing a red stone!

I don't know how I missed this thread of yours! Better late than never. Gorgeous spess!!! I have seen this ring on other posts, but not the original SMTB and didn't realize it was a spess until now. I just recently found out that this stone can have this beautiful shade of red too and knew I had to have one, but only after missing out on getting the one that Gene had cut. I can't believe that I never made the mental connection until now. Seeing all of these pics was a great ending to my day. Thanks!
