(That’s not hair lol, it’s just fiber from my fluffy winter clothes XD)

Here you can see the orange tint... tho I’m not sure if it’s from the ring holder (there’s some orange colour underneath the claws), or if it’s part of the actual stone. I only noticed it after seeing the photos..

This last one here, I can feel the crack if I run my nail over it gently... should I be concern since it’s actual surface inclusion? :s

Hmm i didn't see the crack until now. If it's surface reaching yes... That might be a problem. It also looks like a long crack?

I just re-examined it, and I think I’m an idiot :lol-2:

It wasn’t the crack that I felt!! It was the corner of the crown(?)! It just so happened that the internal crack is at the same place and that confused me. I can feel the exact same thing on the opposite side.
I tried doing the same thing (scratching the corner) on my AVR and it’s the same but less blunt. Do I make sense?

I’ve circled the corner / crown I’m talking about:

But just to be sure I’m gonna get a torch light and scratch it again when I get home, just in case! Hehehe :P2

I suspect that trusted vendors get burned, too, when new treatments appear on the market because they have suppliers they trust, etc.

(A good example, I decided to set a red princess cut spinel that I once bought from a vendor with excellent reputation. I got a call from a jeweler stating that for a red spinel it was too clean, and what about certifying it. (I think it is natural as there once was a small chip on the girdle that was recut by a gemologist who has instinct... He probably would have raised a concern). Anyhow, I decided to certify it. So...if my stone comes back as synthetic, or heated, or something else, this would only testify that once upon a time, a new treatment was introduced, and I was the unlucky one to be on the receiving end. If it is natural, merely very red and very clean, then it will probably be very expensive.)

I hope your certification comes back with great results!....also request for photos!

Thank you @apacherose @LisaRN :kiss2:

For those who might be interested to know, I took the stone to GSL in Sydney and had it identified yesterday. It is a genuine unheated Spinel.:dance::dance:

Now, I just need to find a ring design and have it set for my birthday!!!:dance:

I'm calling it my 'Infinity Heart' stone
